A Sepura TETRA system has been selected by a ski resort in Sweden to optimise safety for its staff and visitors.

The Idre Fjäll resort hosts more than 600,000 visitors each year with competitions such as the Ski-Cross World Cup and the Speed Ski World Championship.

The Sepura technology, supplied in conjunction with partner Swedish Radio Supply, comprises TETRA infrastructure and a fleet of STP9000 hand-portable radios.

“Users found the radios to be intuitive and easy to use, while the flexible infrastructure allows for a two-phase deployment, providing us with a cost-effective upgrade path for our planned network extension,” Idre Fjäll Operations Manager Kjell Skoglund said.

“We are delighted that our solution will contribute to the smooth running of international ski events, as well as the day-to-day running of this world-class resort,” Sepura Business Development Manager Dawn Griffiths said.
