Call for papers

We are currently seeking papers to be included at RadioComms Connect 2009 conference and are particularly interested in case studies and workshops.

Please ensure that the topic to be presented is informative, provides practical and relevant information to delegates and promotes best practice in the radio and/or combined communications industry.

Suggested topics for papers, case studies or workshops:

  • Integrated communications systems and the convergence of disparate systems
  • TETRA - The benefits in spectrum efficiency and what the technology has to offer
  • Interoperability
  • Procurement, planning and project management - real world solutions to real world problems
  • P25 - An outline of where P25 is going and its applications in Australia along with the benefits in spectrum efficiency and what the technology has to offer
  • IP connectivity solutions with regard to voice circuits for radio equipment, control console systems, equipment diagnostic systems and system interoperability
  • Repeaters and their use to extend coverage - operational advantages of systems such as simulcast or quasi-synchronous transmissions, IP connectivity for lower cost implementation of multi-site and wide area radio and trunking systems
  • Test & Measurement
  • Antennas systems - applications and technologies available
  • Network installations - Including the basics for technicians in computer networking, such as Microsoft network logic
  • Infrastructure and Towers
  • Integration of PMR and carriage products
  • National Emergency Communications - Does one size fit all?
  • Solutions for mobile forward command and control facilities
  • Spectrum Use & Efficiency - how do we move ahead in an era of more self-regulation and open technologies?
  • Emerging radio standards and technologies
  • Solutions to air, marine and land mobile radio
  • New technology solutions for digital microwave transmission networks

Presentations are not to be company, product or service advertisements. Overall presentation time allowed will be approximately 35-40 minutes.

NB: All presentations will be circulated to delegates post event, unless it has been requested in writing that this does not happen.

DEADLINE - All applications must be received by June 19, 2009

Successful applicants will be notified by email no later than July 24, 2009.
